Southern Area Gradings 2012To all Southern Area Clubs and Club CoachesThis is an Area up date and information for the start of 2012 The following information will be from 1st January 2012 1 The BJA has increased the grading fees for Juniors Novice to 18th Mon and for seniors Novice to 1st Kyu from £7.00 to £7.50. The BJA will honour any grading's up to 1st February at the old grading fee of £7.00 if the grading has been advertised, after this date it will be £7.50. 2 The Area Dan grading date for 2012 are as followed Sunday 12th February at 10.00am Sunday 22nd April at 10.00am Sunday 17th June at 10.00am Sunday 14th October at 10.00am Sunday 2nd December at 10.00am All grading's will be at Dartford Judo Club Cotton lane Dartford Kent if you would like any information please contact Dave Stanley DOE for the Southern Area on mobile 07899987490 or at home 01322 663597. |

Surrey Squad TrainingDear Parents / JudokaFirstly a very Happy New Year to you all. A Surrey squad training session has been arranged for: Date: Saturday 28th January 2012 Venue: Croydon Judo Club, CR0 6EA Time: 1.30pm for a 2pm Start – 4pm Finish Matt Fee: £3.50 per person. This is a joint training session whereby junior and senior players will have opportunity to train together as a Squad. This should prove a valuable learning opportunity for our junior squad players who will train along side our senior squad players, while at the same time giving opportunity for our senior players to inspire our up and coming future stars. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL SOUTHERN AREA CLUBS AND COACHESThe Southern Committee are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Andrew Moshonov as the new Area Technical Director. His appointment, which is for a three year period, was approved by the Southern Area Committee following a selection process. Squad Training - thanks from Same LoweDear Surrey Squad players and parents,I wanted thank all of you who attended personally for a fantastic day at Croydon Judo Club on Saturday. Both myself and Karina thoroughly enjoyed taking the Surrey Squad sessions and thought everyone who took part did extremely well and trained really hard. We were particularly impressed with the concentration and attention span of some of the younger players on the mat. I really appreciate the support of the Surrey county Judo players and I'm proud to be part of that squad with you all. You can contact me personally if you think you may be able to help me in some way, my contact details are below. I also have an online donation site (www.pledgie.com/campaigns/14666) where you can pledge small amounts of money towards my sponsorship fund. I have written a small piece on my blog about the session, please feel free to have a little read www.samanthalowe2012.wordpress.com. I will be adding more photos as and when I get them (I forgot my own camera on the day- gutted!). Please feel free to email me your photos as well, include your name and club and I will add it to my blog for you! Lastly and certainly not leastly, I need to say a huge thank you to Sheila, Alan, Simon Allen, Simon Carlo, Lloyd Nicholls and Nicola Gray for their support in organising the event and for their help on the day.
